5 foods rich in soluble fiber that experts recommend for diabetics

Oatmeal is loaded with insoluble and soluble fiber. However, the soluble is particularly beneficial. Soluble fibers take up a lot of space in the belly and make you feel full for a long time. This is because your body cannot break down soluble fiber as easily. This whole process, in turn, doesn’t spike your sugar levels and curbs your hunger pangs. It also acts as a helpful prebiotic for intestinal bacteria.

Lovneet Batra mentioned that the 6 grams of fiber in barley was “mainly soluble fiber which has been linked to lowering cholesterol, lowering blood sugar and increasing satiety.” It also helps decrease inflammation and stabilize blood sugar levels.

3) chickpeas
