Preparation time: 1 hour 10 minutes

Servings: 3 cups


¼ cup white sesame seeds

A little less than 1/4 cup powdered Jaggery

1/4 cup grated coconut

1 cup of cold milk

3 nos. cardamoms


  • In the first step, soak the sesame seeds for about 1-2 hours in a small amount of water.
  • Put the soaked sesame seeds, shredded coconut, jaggery and seedless cardamoms in a mixer grinder and grind to a fine paste. Add a little milk if needed to grind them up easily.
  • Now, pour this paste into a bowl and add milk to thin out the paste.
  • Finally, serve this rejuvenating cold white sesame juice.

Some points to keep in mind:

  • You can strain out the sesame seed pieces if you don’t like a nutty flavor to your drink.
  • The drink can also be prepared without milk. You can substitute it for almond milk.
  • Ellu Juice can also be made vegan if you use water instead of milk
