Lunch time professional! What Jenny Mollen As she prepares to send her two children back to school next fall, she has a few tricks up her sleeve when it comes to packing their lunches.
“I approach preparing lunch like it’s a paint-by-numbers project,” the 43-year-old dictator lunches cookbook author, who shares Sid, 8, and Lazlo, 4, with her husband jason biggs — said exclusively We weekly. “I am a firm believer in pushing the limits with kids lunches. “Even picky eaters can be forced to try new things.”
Mollen, who married the american foot star, 44, in 2008, has always tried to inspire her children to add nutritional elements to their family dishes, although the coronavirus pandemic presented a challenge.
“I’ve always been a bit picky about healthy food, but halfway through quarantine I said, ‘Would you like to try something called fast food?’ And he blew my son’s head off,” he said. She added: “I don’t have time to be creative [amid lockdown] because it’s already at the next meal. My kids, like, want to eat every 15 minutes, so I haven’t been doing much, like, building French toast towers or anything.”
Despite Sid and Lazlo’s recent tastes for fast-food delights, Mollen has remained committed to adding healthy ingredients to his meals.
“I’m trying to make sure I get plenty of fruits and vegetables into his diet and keep it fun and interesting,” the Arizona native said. U.S at the time. “I think [children] you should eat what you eat, but I think it’s fun to, like, make it compelling by telling a story with him. So I’ve been doing a bit of that, but I’m really just trying to survive! It has been a real experience.”

“I use a cookie cutter to turn a sun into butter and jam. [sandwich] in a main event looking like Linzer cake,” Mollen said.

The actress added: “Hard-boiled eggs can be boring, but with a little silly knife work they can be turned into flower arrangements on a bed of vegetables.”
For garnishes, Mollen chooses a selection of fruits, vegetables, grain-free crackers from Top Seedz, and a “bribe,” which could include adding a pair of eye candy to a dollop of Babybel cheese to look like a ninja.
