Weight Loss: Women Share The Healthy Diet Plans That Worked Wonders For Them

The holiday season is here and many are hoping to get in shape for the summer. One woman took to Mumsnet to share her struggles and get some tips on how to lose weight.

An anonymous woman came to the forum to share her struggle and said that she was on the edge of the abyss.

She said: “Please someone help me, I am four or five kilos overweight, I feel physically ill looking at myself in the mirror and my body.

“I’ve tried multiple times to lose weight, Slimming World, cut out snacking, etc., but I just can’t do it.”

She explains that she buys snacks for the house because others eat them, but she can’t help but binge on them.

He is also guilty of not drinking water and enjoying fizzy drinks, as well as skipping breakfast and lunch.

The women asked, “Does anyone have any advice? The best way to do it? The best way to start?”

Mumsnet users flocked to the woman’s aid with some helpful weight loss tips and tricks.

One user advised against snacking between meals: “It’s not ‘suffering’ to not have snacks in the house.

“For some households it’s completely normal. And there’s absolutely no harm in it.”

Instead of snacking on junk food, the user suggested opting for fruit or something light like cheese and peanut butter on crackers.

Another warned against restrictive eating: “You have to eat.”

However, she urged her fellow Mumsnets to stock up on “high-protein” foods, such as a plate of scrambled eggs and no toast.

Another user commented on his habit of skipping breakfast and lunch: “I hope you starve and then get rabidly hungry and binge on snacks.”

She advised: “Never let yourself go hungry.”

He suggested doing this by eating three hearty meals a day, packed with protein and vegetables.

This particular user trusted Slimming World to achieve her weight loss goals.

Slimming World offers a “hunger free plan”, which includes several avenues of support on your journey.

Another user suggested that he tackle his unhealthy habits one at a time.

A small change that can make a big difference can be to replace all beverages during the day with water and treat yourself to a can of soda at night.

For an even more nutritious option, you could keep the fizz and lock in the calories by enjoying a sparkling water with a squeeze of lemon or lime.

Another small change that can make a big difference is eating the same meals but in smaller portions and filling the rest of your plate with fresh fruits and vegetables, according to one user.

They said, “A large plate of pizza and fries can become a smaller portion of both with a large salad on the side.”
